Although monsters and robots have had their troubles in the past us monsters at Hip Monsters love Johnny Botts’ art. He makes portraits of robots that are more sentimental and lovable than most portraits of children. The robots have a genuine innocence about them that is enduring.
A carefree and adventurous little creature, Bumper Boy takes you along as he explores the world. The illustrations have a European feel reminding me of works of Babar and Moomin. But Bumper Boy’s characters have their own which pulls you into their world.
