Amy Schimler’s style is her own but draws from Eric Carles’ works whose Hungry Caterpillar is one of HipMonster’s all time favorite children’s book.
Crayfish makes crustaceans seem playful and adorable. Pinchers held high the crayfish have attitude and would be perfect to brighten up a a kitchen.

For a strange and creative view check out Amos Goldbaum’s art. The imagery takes the form of detailed outlines of people and machinery. The carefully drawn lines often seem to blend together to former a higher order work with the art.
Muni is the fickle and unreliable god of transportation in San Francisco. Amos Goldbaum’s Muni t-shirt is the perfect way to express San Franciscans’ shared misery. At first glance it seems like a detailed and precise the outline of a Muni street car, yet it is more than just an outline, it brings the street car to life.

Photography, paintings and more, Sita Rupe’s art is playful and cute sure to brighten any Monster’s home. Most of the paintings are mono-colored stencils over bold, retro designs. The work has a campy feel the harks to the stencils graffiti that cover much of the San Francisco Mission and Hayes Valley Districts as well as most major urban areas.
Although Sita Rupe does not sell her art on her site you can look through a gallery of her work here. Our favorite is shown right. An image of a skating girl barely able to keep upright against a 50’ish background it is somehow both sentimental and edgy.

Pretty Fun Jewelry has cute and fun designs for monsters of all ages. They specialize in vintage designs artfully molding early 20th-century imagery into cute wear.
The jewelry is influenced by steampunk designs as can be seen in the mini hourglass necklace by Pretty Fun Jewelry shown right.

Drew Mossison’s art have that creepy cool look that is so difficult to achieve. I actually tend to dislike creepy art -mostly because I can’t imagine where I would ever but the piece i out house – but Drew Mossison’s art I like. He manages to keep a sense of humor to his works even when the piece may be a bit disturbing.
Last Harvest shows lizards on stilts harvesting a try late in the day. The setting sun provides a dramatic back drop for the lizards as they nibbling pluck the last of the fruit. The, lizards, which out of this setting would no way be considered cute, are surprisingly adorable as the finish their work.

For cute, Asian-inspired art and t-shirts check out Martin Hsu. His style is a great blend of Japanese Anime and the hip cartoon style so popular in San Francisco. His works range from evil cute, vicious-looking creatures that are nonetheless adorable to the eye to outright painfully cute.
Dragon is typical of Martin Hsu’s style. A boy wearing a dragon suit stands proud while adorning a mischievous smile. With bright, contrasting colors and playful lines, Martin Hsu’s works always bring cheer.

With the artful blending of cute and creepy Misty Benson engages Monsters of all kinds. From garlic-loving vampires to tattoo-wearing mermaids her creations are unique. Her images blend the big-eyed imagery from Japanese anime with Gothic art. Creepy and cute all at the same time.
Simple, elegant woodworking Tiny Sparks Design makes art from the everyday object. Following the Japanese wood-crafting tradition, the wood is allowed to speak in their art. The grain, patterns, and defects of the wood are exploited to make designs that have a living quality to them.
The koi fish seems to just be just passing by on the Koi Print Key Holder on Bamboo. It is a well-balanced piece with a bolder design than most of Tiny Sparks Designs.
